Minguzzi produced many multi-headed roosters throughout his career but the exact year of this etching is unclear. Stylistically it is closest to a work from 1984 titled Colomba (Dove) but could be as early as 1968. It is marked out from the other examples by frantic etching and a dramatic underbite. Despite being unique amongst the chickens its authenticity is validated by no.66/100 being sold at auction via Studio Arte Borremeo 20/09/2017.
