Showcasing Licata’s ‘lettere immaginarie’ this is originally a series of five - three horizontal and two vertical. The work offers just enough familiarity to lull one into the belief that it is possible to crack the code hidden in the numerals, notes, runes and sickles (?!) This work, set in two rectangular planes evokes a frieze or altar of an imaginary civilisation.
