Finding some late career freedom from the rigidity of geometric abstraction, this is a huge piece named after a small settlement near Turin. The area is best known for the Amiantifera abestos mine, and the thick yellow strokes and blue background ape the rocks and lake respectively. It could also simply be inspired by the surrounding mountains. This has been dated to 1985 as it coincides with a solo show at the Piramide art gallery. It also aligns with the works Bargone (1985) and Senza Titulo (1985), which are the closest in style to this work that Fusi produced over his long career.
